In my opinion, range is a very annoying skill to train, so doing these quests are a good idea.

Weapons That You Can Wield With A Certain Amount Of Ranged XP

You can wield - Standard bows, anything thrown that is iron or bronze, and a bronze crossbow.
At level 5 you can wield – Oak bows, anything thrown that is steel or below, and a bronze crossbow.
At level 20 you can wield – Willow bows, anything thrown that is mithril or below, and a bruite crossbow or below.
At level 30 you can wield – Maple bows, anything thrown that is adamant or below, and a dorgeshuun c’bow or below.
At level 40 you can wield – Yew bows, anything thrown that is rune or below, and a mithril crossbow or below.
At level 50 you can wield – Magic bows, anything thrown that is a chinchompa or below, and a hunters crossbow or below.
At level 60 you can wield – Darkbow, anything thrown that is a dragon dart or below, and a hunters crossbow or below.
At level 70 you can wield – Crystal bow (after Rolving Elves and with 50 agility), anything thrown that is a dragon dart or below, and a karail’s crossbow or below.
At level 80 you can wield – Zaryte bow, anything thrown that is a Morgan’s throwning axe or below, and a Chaotic crossbow (with 80 dungeoneering)

The 17 Quests That Give Ranged XP

  • Temple of Ikov – 10,505 exp
  • Horror from the Deep – 4,000 exp
  • Hero’s Quest – 3,075 exp
  • Zogre Flesh Eaters – 2,000 exp
  • Death to the Dorgeshuun – 2,000 exp
  • Recipe for Disaster – 1,500 exp
  • Big Chompy Bird Hunting – 735 exp

The total XP that you get from the quests is 23,895.
